"The God of Genjutsu"

Have you ever hated someone so much and then fallen head over heels in love with the same person??? I did… it might sound crazy but it’s the truth.  ITACHI UCHIHA – even if you haven’t watched Naruto yet, you would have at least heard this name and the hype that it created in the entire anime community.

"Leaf Shinobi"

He is my favourite character in the Naruto universe. I am still trying to figure out why, whether it's his Kindness, selfless love, mature thinking, facial lines or his brother complex. I don't really know; I just love this man so much that it hurts because he deserved a happy ending which was not the case. He appeared in 24 episodes only, but the impact that he left is quite unimaginable and unforgettable. He is one of the fan-favourite characters from Naruto who was first introduced as an antagonist and later on when the motive for his actions was revealed, it left the viewers in tears and it created mad respect for him. So, I would say that he is our "Broken Hero", the pacifist who sacrificed everything for the sake of greater peace.

"Hero of the shadow"

His clan possessed a unique virtual power which is known as "Sharingan". As a kid, he trained hard and unleashed the hidden powers of Sharingan that even the grownups of his clan couldn't achieve. He became a child prodigy and excelled in every aspect. Right from his childhood he observed all that was happening around him and that left him confused about what side he should take. He could have sided with his own clan and betrayed his own village, instead, he chose the path that felt righteous to him, even though he had to massacre his entire clan for the good of others. The thing is that he never expected anything in return other than the peace and safety of his beloved brother, which is what stunned the most. Even after he was seen as a traitor by all, he continued to save his village and his brother from the shadow. He was a true shinobi - a real warrior no "savior". He is too good for this cruel world.

 "God of the New World"

This is where it all began, My journey into this anime world, not only for me but for most of us.

Hold on a sec, Spoiler alert: If you haven't seen this anime yet, go watch it first. Trust me, you will not regret this decision.

"Light Yagami"

                                                       

To me, this is the anime that would give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will never ever witness such a gripping storyline, an amazing, clever protagonist and an equally smart antagonist all at once. Apart from the strong intriguing plot, the protagonist of this anime is the one who will immediately catch your attention. Yes, you are right! I am talking about our hero-nah, GOD of the new world - KIRA aka Light Yagami. My very first anime crush was on him. Do you want to know why? Of course, he is attractive; nevertheless, it is his "GOD COMPLEXION" that has me smitten. I know I have been mentioning him as a protagonist, but he is more than that. If you see him as a hero, we are sailing on the same boat; however, if you see him as a villain, he will be the #1 Antagonist of all time. Why I love him as a hero is because he is not your typical hero who saves the world, fights for loved ones and who is ready to sacrifice himself. He is KIRA, who breaks all these stereotypes of what a hero should be. He has his own justice, mmm more like he is JUSTICE.

Long story short, He happened to get an occult book, and with that, he gets a supernatural power to kill anyone within 40 seconds whose name he enters in it. It all came down to how he utilized his intelligence to use that book to give judgement to those whom he felt unworthy of living in this world. He was just a high school student, yet he managed to outwit even the best investigators and cops. He defines his own way to save this world from criminals. He became one of the most debatable characters in anime history as some people hate him and others support him; I fall into the latter. The way he overcame every hurdle with his brain made us feel dumb as well as proud. His god-level thinking made us believe that he only can save the world.

There are many scenes where he was so close to being caught, the next second we realize that he was always way ahead of every move and that is the most thrilling part where we experience all kinds of emotions like curious, tensed, worried, hyped, puzzled and relieved. At some point, you will subconsciously start rooting for him to succeed. This is all about how I simped for him, but for many others, he may not be the most likeable character, yet somehow, he creates an impact on everyone who watches this, Anime. Even though he doesn't deserve that end at last, I strongly believe that there is no end to KIRA. He will forever be on top undoubtedly. The world will keep talking about him either in a good way or the other way around. So which side are you on? I will leave that up to you...
